      If you want to look good going there AND coming back, get a land cruiser. Center and rear locking diff, 4 Low, full time 4 wheel drive (not in 4Runner), and 465 lb-ft of torque make this a beast!       For it's size, the Land Cruiser is nimble in acceleration and the drive assist features are excellent for longer trips. Ours gets about 23.8 mpg, which is much better than our last SUV. Having hybrid energy really helps with the range. Ours gets about 375 per tank. The interior is very comfortable. I suggest not bothering with the cool box in the front (we like it because we live in a warm weather state and use it for camping). It tows very well and overall is very handy for camping, off-roading, and hauling.…
